Clayton Kennington

Principal

Clayton Kennington is a principal at HK Holdings. He brings more than 20 years of experience leading the operations of HK. Throughout his career at HK, Clayton has acquired, sold, and financed more than $400 million in transactions of the family’s legacy assets in the office, flex, retail, and industrial asset classes.

Prior to HK, Clayton was a senior associate in the real estate consulting group at Ernst & Young-Kenneth Leventhal, working with publicly traded REITS and private equity firms on their acquisition and disposition strategies in Latin America and Asia.

Clayton earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics degree from Washington and Lee University and an MBA, Finance and Accounting, from The University of Texas at Austin, where he is now a member of the Advisory Council for The Real Estate Center. Clayton is very active in the Dallas community, currently serving on the Industrial Council for Urban Land Institute, the Board of Directors for Goodwill Industries of Dallas, Inc., and as Eagle Scout Chair for BSA Troop 82. Previously, he served on the Board of Directors and was the Community Outreach Chair at Highland Park United Methodist Church. Clayton lives in Dallas with his wife, Sarah, and their six children.
